    Day 158 - September 10 - Sunday
    ----------------------------------------------
    FBS:103 Ketones: 0.5
    11:40am BS:88

Lunch: Avial (mixed veggies in coconut gravy and oil), spinach, bitter gourd vegetable, cabbage poriyal ( Cabbage + coconut shreddings + spices), hung Curd 50g , home made lime pickle

    Dessert : Unsweetened Koha 100g + 1.5 tbsp ghee

    PPBS: 104

    5:45pm : RBS:98

    8:10 BS: 89

    40g casein protein + 1.5 tbsp cream shake , avocado +olives+jalapeños + lime +mint salad

    PPBS: TBM

    Notes:
    ---------

-Had an extremely intense workout yesterday evening with lower body and squats and leg press were the two main exercises. Pushing about 120kg now on the leg press. Squat is about 0.75 BW at 60 kg

-Likely to hit a plateau in strength soon. Expecting that might happen around 1-1.25 BW

-My only focus is strength and type 2B while I realize how hard it is and how body is trying to convert type 2 to type 1 and even type 2B to Type 2A etc. Body is brilliant in its focus on survival more than anything else

-In essence still any gains is better than no gains and I will let the body figure it out

-Was surprised at the high FBS, but it could be cause I measured almost an hour after waking up, as I was just lazing in the bed, taking it easy etc etc. Seems like the liver dump was in progress as the BS at 11:30 indicated.

-Protein intake continues to be high and I also have a rough formula for a preworkout drink etc that I will post later this evening or tomorrow

-It works out to about 130-150rs / drink so still evaluating its merits

-Supplementing stuff at levels it works is pretty expensive

-Science is very clear on the threshold levels in many of them and below that is as good as no substitution

I am surprised by Abbotts strategy. Having its strategy centered on healthcare provider Abbott is missing out on huge consumer market. It should allow users to monitor reading real time so that they can see immediate impact of their diet and can take corrective actions(walk/exercise/fast/insulin). I hate finger pricking and would prefer this device any day over my current BS meter. Also bringing the monthly cost around 1000-2000 rs would help in mass adoption.

No A1c Target. around 5 is good enough. Next is to focus on strength and also reduce inflammation. hs-crp is still high for a 6 month keto which leaves me to imagine the damage i might have done. Focus is also to work on regaining full leg and lower body strength and continue pursuing my childhood passion - power lifting., after a long long break. I am around 78-79 kgs now, water, glycogen etc. and would like to get that to around 74 which is the weight category that should leave me at about a 33-34 inch waist, which is about 35 now.

    For me MF is required.
And never considered CGM for me.
If your FBS and PPBS is in control, what is the need for CGM?

@Asp I never had the reader. The official reader is expensive and has to be got from a doctor through contacts in Abbott. I used an open source app to read instantaneous values of the sensor when I had it on. The app can read from sensor once it is activated and the technician when installing it activates it using the reader.

Portea people informed that this service of providing CGM is not available at Hyderabad.
I have approached one Diabetologist here who also refused to provide CGM when I told him that
I am following LCHF and want CGM for tweaking diet.
@Vinay Raj and @shashikantiyengar please suggest now how to get one.

    Day 160 - September 12 - Tuesday
    -----------------------------------------------
    FBS: 84 Ketones: 0.9

    BCAA: 10g

    RBS: 12:10pm : 87

    2:45pm : BS: 72

    2*3 egg masala cheese omlette

    5:30pm BS:88

    75g walnuts + almonds

    7:45pm : BS: 81 Ketones: 1.1

Avarakkai vegetable cooked with coconut gratings in CO, spinach + ghee, cucumber coconut kootu , 10g BCAA

    PPBS: TBM

    Notes:
    -----------

-While the calorie intake might look low here, it is much higher as I do not include two coffee which each has about 200ml coconut milk each. In addition I also do not note 2-3 butter tea each with about 1-1.5tbsp butter. Also not included is 2-3 lemon juice + salt

-Kind of tapered down on calories just a little and cycling macros a little between workout and non workout days, as science and numerous n=1 experiments shows thats the best for some decent body recomposition

    - I have now added about 2.5 kgs of weight from my lowest since I started this woe. The lowest was 76.5 and currently at about 79. I might break my own golden rule and go for a DEXA end of this month as I implement more supplementation in terms of pre workout etc etc and macros cycling and other things so that I have a benchmark I can work against

@shashikantiyengar the freestyle uses NFC protocol to communicate with the reader. This app uses the same protocol via the hardware of the phone to communicate with the freestyle. What it cannot do is activate the freestyle. That can be done only with Abbotts reader. From my understanding the USFDA document has detailed information on how data is stored and transmitted, based on which the open source app has been engineered.

As @Vinay Raj said, CGM is needed to know how my BS is responding to different foods and food quantities for tweaking diet/exercise/medicines accordingly. IMPO - every one following LCHF diet for controlling diabetes should try CGM at least for a fortnight.

I agree with @Gautam20 views and wonder why any other companies are not making such wearable gadget with live reading and some alerts like high / low readings?

A typical press release, where the Dexcom CGM is now having a new front end app with the Fitbit app. The open source GLIMP app that I used for Abbott Freestyle already does a fantastic job with Dexcom too. Abbott has gotten the hardware to an art now and really needs to disrupt the market for its own good and good of diabetics
