I called Valerian. He said he has lost up to 5 kg weight and pants are slipping down. Stopped insuline completely three days ago. Takes Glycomet GP2: 1-0-1. Recent FBS: 112 and PPBS: 125. Feeling better. Not completely recovered from asthma. Not taking medicine (nebulizer) for asthma since few days.

I have told him to collect the Glucometer, 200 strips and 2 leter VCO sent by @Ramgopal, @shashikantiyengar and @Anup Singh

He is working 7 am to 7 pm. Testing BS once or twice a day.

Another 5Kg loss and he would surely be hitting better numbers. Now, going off heavy dose of insulin means he can spend that money of good food, though expenses on new clothes will be heavy :)

50 units insulin gone ~ Rs 90/day or Rs 2700/month loss to Pharma goons. How I wish this number becomes 100,000 diabetics in India. Imagine the loss -- Rs 27 crores per month :)

    Add 3gm turmeric to life.
If he can grow, then grow tulsi and have tusli tea, or chew few tulsi leaves a day.
Tell him to take Septilin like Gems. Septilin comes from Himalaya. Don't count. Just take 6 to 10 a day and see if all this gets some relief. Combine with Bresol from Himalaya if possible. @arun kumar can talk more on hetrazane the cheapest and best anti histamine stuff. In fact, my nephew suffers from Childhood asthama and we have seen through 2 years of harvest season now where he did not require any regular dose of inhalers/steroids.

There's a paper from Himalaya where they showed volumetric air flow increase by around 14%. So no harm in trying that. Septilin is also being used by @geo's wife and also by someone in @shalini's family, IIRC

Also, he lost this 5kg while being on insulin...now being off insulin, weight loss should be faster?

Congrats to him and @Zuze Pernal (y)

Yup. As residual insulin falls body fat will melt -- or vice versa.
But, going off 50 units is a great result. The best result of diabetics going off plethora of drugs and coming down to just MF/GM is @S K Sharan -- off from 4 jabs of insulin a day, invokana, januvia and triglimi. He saves around 5000/month or so as a result of that, IIRC :)

    @Zuze Pernal Very good success.
He must have now confidant and continue LCHF.
For Asthma he can take Hetrazane, which is useful in treating Asthma, where eosinophil count exceeds more than 7% in peripheral blood.

Valerian Pereira came yesterday. His FBG were in the range of 112 to 115 and PPBG were in the range of 142 to 151. He was off insuline and glycomet. But he found his FBG day before yesterday was 211 (tested only once) and started taking glycomet. Weight loss hasn't continued. Untill now his total weight loss is only 4 kg.

He complained of being hungry all the time and fatiged sometimes. No other issues. On a detailed investigation, I found that he had stopped coconut milk, using only 1 tablespoon VCO. Ate white rice with 250 ml youghurt for lunch. Morning he ate 4 eggs. Sometimes he ate meat or fish and vegetables in the evenings but ate vegetables everyday in the evening.

He told me coconut milk and its products are "sheeta" hence he suffers colds and asthma attacks. My own experience suggests it is not "sheeta" . I have told him if he can't consume coconut milk then he must take VCO, CO and/or animal fat. He has agreed.

In summary, the problem is he was not following LCHF as instructed. Another problem he is not reporting me on his own. (Yesterday he came to me on his own)

I have handed over to him, the Glucometer, Lancer, one vial of 50 Strips and one bottle VCO on conditions: 1. Test BS atlest 6 times everyday and report me every day on phone. 2. Meet me in person at least once in 15 days. He has agreed to this. I have told him, I will handover another bottle of VCO and 3 more Vials of strips only after seeing his progress. (He regularly takes his heart medications)

On seeing near normal numbers, people tend to slip and pay the price.
Not sure why he went off glycomet.
If not Coconut milk can he eat Coconut itself? Maybe one coconut a day, excluding the water?

I have had given him this option on his first meeting. The reason he stopped coconut milk as he told me was it is "sheeta" hence it caused him colds and allergy/breathing difficulties etc.
