Last month my HBA1c is : 7.8 -> Increased due to lot of carbohydrates intake and plenty of fruits
Generally I take Metformin 500 mg for each meal, Now with the increase in BS level Doctor advised me to take Metformin 850 mg for 1 month
In general, I was eating lot of fruits, would like to eliminate slowly from my diet , now all fruits tasting like a 'candy' for me
    Current weight : 74.5 kg

I'd like to check with Moderators and experts on right plan and implementation execution help and inputs required:
note - Going to consume high-fat foods, after many many years
started this diet 1 week ago

Approx to intake 100g of carbs per day
FAT foods : Full FAT Cheese , Fat Milk, Almonds, Wall-nuts, pistachio
Breakfast - 2 Boiled Eggs or Omelet, Salad and Milk/Coffee
Cooked vegetables(low carb) + Olive or Rapeseed oil -> for Lunch and Dinner with FAT foods ( Cheese, Nuts)
    Snacks : Nuts and Coffee/Milk/Green Tea, Orange/Apple
Salad : Cucumber, Mung bean, Chickpea sprout, lettuce

    - How much FAT per each portion, like Cheese grams per portion and per day FAT grams? ( it is very tasty)
    - Is it okay, to have only Cheese and Nuts + salad for lunch or Dinner?
    - What's right way to ensure, my body adapting to FAT diet?
    - Not sure after couple (2-3) of months and while BS get back to normal, still to take Metformin or this is my call?
    - Last one, how much cooked vegetable per portion in grams?
    - Please include any other, in case of any missing or other ideas

    Thanks you All!

Riughly 60% of your total calorie intake.

    Yes!
Anything and everything that keeps your day's total carbs to 20% is fine.

Ramp up fat slowly. Once target is achieved try to stay there. Cheating once in a while can be tolerated by a diabetic on LCHF diet.

Taper by 50% rule when PPBS starts hittong 120 and FBS < 100. Wait for two weeks between two tapering.

Any amount that fits in total carbs of 100g /day. Once you are LCHF adapted, volume of intake becomes irrelevant.

Stop rapeseed oil (canola oil )
Shifting to ghee and butter or vco is better for cooking

Not using voo since last year or so. Doubt about genuineness. Was using Borges . But most of the time stock is old.

Drinking a glass of red wine all days in a week is okay.:)

    Key word - a glass.
Said to be beneficial for almost everyone including Diabetics.
All the same, initial days, just keep a tab with your Glucometer to see how your body reacts to it.(y)

It is quite challenging to deal with Doctors on medication to take, if you can help me your thoughts and inputs will be useful for my next steps

    1. Normally, how long does it take BS levels to become normal levels with LCHF?
    2. Is it necessary to consider doctor advice on reducing Metformin dose?
    3. During this transition path (short, medium, long term), based on measured levels, when to reducing Metformin dose to stop it completely?
    4. Is the same above applies to my thyroid levels or take doctor guidence, to reduce or no Levothyroxine medicine dosage?
