I am 48 years and overweight. Have been taking drugs for nearly a decade for Hypertension (Olmat H 20 and Ecospirin 75) and Cholesterol (Rozavel F5 5 mg).

    Early Dec I did a GTT with 75g Glucose with following results: fasting 77.6, 1-Hour 210, 2-Hour 202
Fasting Insulin - 36.5. Thyroid profile is normal. Lipid profile was normal because of above medication.

It is now 5 weeks since I started LCHF diet and stopped the above medication

    1. I have dropped 6 kilos and am 98Kgs - which is encouraging, however, need to lose much more
    2. Last week blood test - FBS 83 and PP - 143 - would like PP to be around 120
    3. Stopped cholesterol drugs and concerened if cholesterol would shoot up
    4. Mild heaviness in head - Systolic 145-150 range and Diastolic 85-90 range

    Queries:

    1. After stopping cholesterol drugs, how has your lipid profile chaged in first 3 months
    2. Did you experience heaviness in head in the first month or two after stopping hypertension drug
    3. Tips for continued weight loss
    4. Anyone who has had relief from trigeminal neuralgia post LCHF diet

    Welcome @ram279 to Dlife.
What is the unit of measurement ?
Heard first time about such a condition.
I don't think diet has any roll in this disorder.

WHat are the LDL HDL levels?
Best to avoid Rozavel and other statins as youi have done.
Add garlic and guggul if needed.

    1. Continue with LCHF. It will improve lipids but test after 4-5 months.
    2. Have you stopped BP meds?
    3. Keep following LCHF. It will reduce insulin levels in blood and the weight will fall quickly. For faster results, can follow keto diet ( carbs less than 30-40 grams) if you are non-veg. On LCHF, add chromium or cinnamon to improve insulin sensitivity.
    4. Neuralgia is really painful. The Russians developed a cognitive enhancement drug known as Semax. One of its benefits is treating neuralgia. But the American FDA has banned it.
    PINEALON® for brain, 60pills/pack
See if you get it. It is very popular in the nootropic (cognitive enhancement) circuit.

Too high fasting insulin and speaks of insulin resistance. This indirectly speaks of OGTT results too. Getting weight down will help on all markers and LCHF will help you achieve great results within 6 months or so. Just be diligent on carb counting and make sure you don't go too low on proteins while staying in the LCHF range.

    Welcome to dLife @ram279

Plz note that it would be wise to have your own glucometer at home, so,
if you do not have one, do buy ASAP.
